Just go ahead and bust out the glass.
Last week we had some doors put in our office, supposedly to give us some security and privacy. Interestingly enough, the locks were put on the opposite side of the doors, and the keyholes on our side, locking us in. Since the doors are at one end of our hallway, and our entrance/exit is on the other end, it was important to us to be able to get out of the other end in case of a fire. Thus making the locks a big problem for us.
Today I saw Rich, the guy we lease our office space from. He told me that if there was a fire, we can "just go ahead and bust out the glass." That's comforting. Good thing he told me. I could have been burned alive in a firy inferno without that spectacular piece of advice.
