My Baby Boy

Amy and I are proud to welcome our baby boy, Alex David Hohman, into
the world this morning at 10:30 am. We weren't expecting him for two
more weeks, so it was quite a surprise to meet him this morning. Amy
and Alex are both doing great, and Karah is so excited to be a big
sister. Stay on the lookout for Alex's blog (currently in development).

P.S. - Props to my awesome boss for being so flexible with my work
schedule :)

Can anybody tell me what the point of getting an "appointment" with a
doctor is? Generally speaking, when one has an appointment, it means
that a meeting will occur at a specific date and time, with a specific
individual. Not so in the medical world. I've been waiting for 45
minutes at the doctor's office today. That means that not only am I
paying to see the doctor, I'm also losing time that I could be
spending at work, making money. How dare they assume that my time has
no value.

If you're a doctor, take this small piece of advice: schedule your
patients for the time they'll actually get to see you. In the end,
you're still going to see the same number of patients... They'll just
be less angry.

Have you ever felt betrayed by someone you love? That's how I felt today as I heard the news of Apple's $200 price drop on the iPhone. They saw me coming. I guess I'm just a schmuck who loved Apple products too much. I thought that with Apple's track record of price fixing I would be safe from stuff like this, but apparently I was wrong. Within just a couple of weeks of buying the iPhone, Apple lowers the price and makes me look like a pretentious d-bag for paying too much.

Well you know what, Apple? We're through. That's right. No more Macs or iPods or iTunes downloads. I don't care how pretty and shiny your products are. You've iPwned me once, and you won't do it again.

In my opinion, the best feature of the iPhone is having something fun to do while you poo. Just keep this entry in mind the next time you ask to play with my iPhone. Because it's a lot easier to wash your hands than it is to wash your iPhone.

Sometimes people do things that defy all forms of logic. At times these things can be so off-the-wall that you need to ask yourself, "Seriously?"

Enter the DWR Airstream Trailer. This product is a combined effort between Design Within Reach (DWR), a middle-to-high-end contemporary furnishings store, and Airstream, the company who made those campers in the 70's that looked like giant silver hot dogs.

This thing has it all, from stylishly-designed interior furniture, to four sets of classy dinnerware... all within a delightfully-shiny enclosure.

If this thing doesn't sweep the 2007 Gay Camper Awards, I don't know what will.
